Trevor Baker, Graduate Student, MSc Soil Science

Trevor graduated from the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Applied Biology Program (2012) with an Honours degree in applied plant and soil science and started working at Integral Ecology Group (IEG) in 2013 as a soil scientist. Prior to joining IEG, Trevor worked for 18 months in Dr. Andy Black’s Soil Physics and Biometeorology Research Group at UBC supported by NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards. In this role he gained extensive experience working with instrumentation to monitor water, carbon, and greenhouse gas balances in British Columbia forests impacted by anthropogenic and natural disturbances. His main research interests are in the use of instrumentation to monitor and understand processes of soil and ecosystem development, and has since returned to UBC to pursue graduate studies.
